The NTT Institute of International Education English Club was established in 2019 with the purpose of creating an environment for NIIE students to practice English through fun and recreational activities. Up to now, NIIE English Club has become a familiar “destination” for students to exchange, learn and gradually improve their English proficiency in daily life as well as academic activities.

Building up confidence and communication reflexes is not easy when most students have their certain shyness and fear to speak English. Recognizing this issue, since its inception,  NIIE English Club has pursued a mission that is to create a natural and exciting English exposure to enable all members, regardless of their proficiency, to participate in the activities. One of the club’s special features is that it has a team of lecturers who are always willing to provide guidance, “ignite” the passion and give advice to students confronting difficulties.

Minigames and weekly quizzes for members.

Every week,  NIIE English Club organizes online quizzes for students to reinforce vocabulary and grammar. Students can participate in answering the questions, discussing together and sharing knowledge. The quizzes will help students recognize their knowledge gaps and overcome them.

Additionally, competitions such as Vlog Competition, Singing Competition, and Speaking Competition are termly organized, which creates an environment for students to improve their English skills and express their perspectives on life. Topics are discussed and selected by the lecturers to ensure they are practical, familiar and attractive enough for students to boldly participate and be ready to voice their opinions. The use of English in daily life is even more focused with termly held class exchange activities and field trips to places in the city such as museums, parks, supermarkets, or book streets, etc.

Extracurricular activities are organized regularly by  NIIE English Club with diverse topics.

Participating in the club activities is always rewarding . Participants will have the chance to receive worthy and lovely gifts including conduct points, teddy bears, books, school supplies, souvenirs, cash, or certificates. It’s fun to play, practice, and have gifts, isn’t it?

Images of students receiving rewards of NIIE English Club activities

With the motto “Set your target and keep trying until you reach it”,  NIIE English Club always tries to provide the best practice environment for students to gradually enhance their English performance. Through each activity, NIIE English Club will offer students with interesting knowledge and experiences of using English, along with stories and profound messages so that members can both simultaneously apply their English in life and accumulate more “real-life experience”, towards a promising future ahead.

NTTU – Teaching is a profession full of memories, among which those of online lessons will be the most unforgettable for teachers. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a shift in learning mode from face-to-face to distant learning has occurred, leading to numerous interesting and emotional experiences, as described in the following article by a lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

For the past 10 years, I have been working for cc nh ci uy tn siyanks.com - App game ??i th??ng uy tn . As a lecturer, I was accustomed to in-person teaching, going to campus everyday to meet my students. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, because teaching activities could not be conducted in the ‘normal way?anymore, we had no choice but to switch to online classes. It was a bit confusing at first, then I gradually got used to it. I overcame the initial inconvenience of not being able to see students’ faces and familiarized myself with sitting in front of the computer to deliver lectures. Even though the pandemic forces us to change and adapt ourselves to the dynamic flow of life, it leaves me and my coworkers unforgettable memories. Some of them made me smile, while the others brought tears to my eyes.

During one of my Pharmaceutical Legislation online sessions, I raised a question and asked student N. to answer. When she turned her mic on, I heard the sound of a baby crying, about a few months old. It turned out that N. had just given birth and was coaxing her baby to sleep while studying online. In another session, I asked another student, Ms. H., to answer my question. When she turned on her camera, I was startled to see that she was a senior around 60 years old, the same age as my mother. She told me to slow down because she was not good at technology. It dawned on me that nothing can stop us from improving our professional knowledge, be it age, technology, or any other factor.

There was one time when I had just finished teaching an online class, I received a message from a student: “Miss, could you please repeat today’s lesson for me? My father just passed away, so I couldn’t concentrate on studying this morning.” Upon hearing that, I was speechless for a moment. The death of a loved one is a great loss, but he managed to put aside the grief to continue his study.

On another occasion, I listened to one of my students reporting her thesis onscreen. She apologized to me: “Miss, I’m sorry for the noise. I’m staying in the hospital to look after my Mom. Please pardon me if you can’t hear me well.” Not only did I see students taking care of their parents, I also witnessed students wearing protective suits on missions or guarding a checkpoints in the pouring rain answering my question through the camera, among many other stories. I used to believe that the cold screen could only serve as a medium of knowledge transmission, but that’s not true because I can still experience deep and complete emotions. At last, I want to assure my dear students that we can still be together, sharing knowledge and experience, regardless of the circumstances.

NTTU – On December 3, 2021, Ms. Tran Le ?Business Development Manager in the Education Sector representing the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to introduce the film False Assurance to students.

After being sponsored the copyright to use ICAEW’s film False Assurance, on December 3, 2021, with the coordination of Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen – Head of Auditing Department, Faculty of Finance – Accounting, cc nh ci uy tn siyanks.com - App game ??i th??ng uy tn , Ms. Tran Le – Business Development Manager in the Education Sector representing ICAEW to introduce the film to students of the auditing and guaranteed service classes.

False Assurance is the first training film produced by ICAEW, and written by Duncan Wiggets ?CEO of ICAEW. The film was made at Chartered Accountants’ Hall, the headquarters of ICAEW in London and has been licensed by many auditing firms, educational institutions and universities worldwide to use as training materials. The film highlights the importance of professional ethics, professional skepticism and the need for quality control and information questions to operate an organization. Besides, the film also provides a variety of economic and commercial information to help students visualize the importance and consequences of decisions made by a Chartered Accountant in business activities.

The participating students were very excited about the attractiveness and useful information that False Asssurance brought. The brainstorming screen changed rapidly, the debating situations about the risks, about the honesty of the board of directors or the judgments of the auditors were full of truth and thrill, the knots were only removed at the last minute of the film… Also at the class, the instructor in charge – Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Huyen led the entire story of the film False Assurance, encouraging students to raise their opinions and discuss situations in the film. Although it was a bit inconvenient to use the case studies in teaching by film via the online form, the atmosphere was as vibrant as a discussion in the classroom. For example, with the same question, there were many students quickly answering via microphone and chatbox which proved the content and details of the film to be very attractive. The instructors skillfully led the virtual lesson attracting the students’ concentration and active participation in learning.

From the results of the lecture, it could be seen that using case studies in teaching via the film like False Asssurance would bring more advantages than the traditional teaching. Firstly, the film creates an opportunity for students to have an intuitive and vivid view of the reality of business activities of enterprises, thereby creating motivation and excitement for students in the learning process, helping students absorb the lesson better. Secondly, watching a film also helps students to follow real-time business practices, develop the ability to concentrate, and judge when observing the intertwined situations that arise continuously, at the same time perfecting soft skills, professional skills – things that are difficult for ordinary cases (descriptive passages) to convey fully. Thirdly, this learning material can be used for many subjects, thereby helping students see the relationship between subjects…

The case study training method is currently very popular at prestigious universities around the world. In the coming time, the Faculty of Finance – Accounting in particular and cc nh ci uy tn siyanks.com - App game ??i th??ng uy tn in general will continue to deploy and enhance the application in many other subjects and many other training programs to help students easily approach to the reality.
